New thread posted in the eggs Q&A forum:
Karen laying some seriously strange eggs

Hello.

We are fairly new to keeping chickens, and brand new to the forum.

Over the last couple of days one of our six birds (a white leghorn called Karen) has been laying some very strange looking eggs.

Typically we can count on Karen for a steady output of mid sized white eggs.

But the last 10 or so been completely different, varying in size colour and texture - in fact one she laid yesterday almost appears to have a slightly effervescent glaze to it.

We are really concerned, if I post a picture of some of the more irregular eggs on the forum. Do you think some forum members would be kind enough to cast their expert eyes over them for me?

Many thanks!
Marmalord
